Clif Bar as 2012 Sponsor

Clif Bar has come on board as Trek Canada's race nutrition sponsor for 2012. Along with their famous "Clif Bar", Clif also makes energy gels, electrolyte drinks and granola, protein and trailmix bars. Check out everything Clif Bar offers here.

In other news, I'm gearing up for my second race of the season tomorrow. Substance Projects is once again putting on the Homage to Ice at Mansfield Outdoor Centre. Last year almost the whole course was covered in snow, but it looks like this year we will be riding singletrack! The weather is calling for a mix of snow and rain and a high of 7°c, I can't wait!

What's New Back in Canada

Back home once again, but with the great suprise of no snow and dry trails! With all the outdoor riding, it was great to get a set of Quarq cranks on my Superfly training bike. These cranks measure power and cadence so it will be an awesome training tool for me this season. I've gotten a few rides with the Quarq and it works amazing! Definitely something to check out: www.quarq.com. A huge thanks to SRAM and Quarq for hooking Trek Canada up with these!

Bonelli US Cup

So in my last couple of days in California I got to head south to race the US Cup at Bonelli Park. It was part of the Triple Crown series so I had the chance to race XC, Super D and Short Track. It was a great opportunity to get an early season race in to see where things were at and test out the new bike. I raced my Trek Superfly Pro, which ended up being the perfect bike for the bumpy course. The Super D was a great track with a couple descents and one main climb, and the short track was a fairly flat 2 minute loop. I ended up finishing 11th in XC, 3rd in Super D and 7th in Short Track. Looking forward to the start of the Canadian season!
